ADOPTION FEE LOWERED TO $300 WITH CONTRACT UNTIL WINTER. Will go back up if not adopted before November!p>Moon came to us as an owner surrender in August of 2016. His owner had purchased him as a well broke horse, however Moon had many behavioral issues due to being broke late. Moon was sent into training by his owner and was worked extensively on the ground before the owner decided it would be best to re-home him. Moon has a scar on his front right leg that we had x-rayed. Moon has some extensive bone remodeling on his cannon bone and the vet stated he is sound on soft ground and sound for light riding and work. The veterinarian stated that he thinks Moon would do excellent as a trail horse and could do light arena work BUT IS NOT SOUND FOR COMPETITION. Moon is currently shod and being fostered by a volunteer who has had an intermediate older child riding him. Moon needs a confident rider as he is still considered green broke as he just doesn't know many cues. Moon is currently being ridden western and has been ridden bareback in a halter. Moon would be best in a trail riding home with some pain management. Moon is very willing to please and has so much heart. He never shows any pain under saddle when worked in soft arena dirt and tries so hard to please his rider. If you are interested in Adopting Moon, please click the Adoption Kit button to download the current adoption application. Applications may be e-mailed, or mailed to the rescue to be considered.
Moon is also available to sponsor. All sponsor donations go towards everyday expenses of owning a horse. Donations will go directly to the horse being sponsored for vetting (as needed), farrier expenses, feed, and grooming supplies.
